Creating an Asset Sub-Group

To create an asset group:

1. Click New or New Asset Sub-Group on the Asset Sub-Group tab.
2. Enter the name of the asset sub-group.
3. Enter the Asset Group to which the sub-group belongs or click the lookup icon to search for it.
4. Click Save.

To apply an asset sub-group to an existing fixed asset:

1. Click the Fixed Assets tab.
2. Edit the fixed asset record that you want apply the asset sub-group to.
3. Click the lookup icon next to the Asset Sub-Group field.
4. Search for the asset sub-group you want to apply to the asset and select it.
5. Click Save.

Tip

You can create asset groups from the Asset Groups related list.
