Enabling External Tax Calculation

If you want users of FinancialForce Billing Central to calculate tax for billing documents using an external tax service such as Avalara AvaTax, you must provide the following information on the ERP Tax Calculation Settings page:

1. Click the ERP Tax Calculation Settings tab.
2. Complete the fields. See Avalara AvaTax Tax Calculation Settings:
   • Account Number to connect to the Avalara AvaTax tax calculation service with.
   • License Key or password for the tax calculation service.
   • Connection URLUniform Resource Locator to contact the tax service.
3. To test the connection with Avalara AvaTax, click Test Connection. We suggest you select the Disable Commit checkbox to prevent data being sent to Avalara while testing the connection.
4. Select Enable External Tax Calculation, then click Save.
