The Company object is a core component of FinancialForce Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Other FinancialForce applications use this object and add fields, buttons and functionality to it.
ERP subscribes to company information that other FinancialForce applications publish and updates its companies based on this information. For example, when a company is created in FinancialForce Accounting, Accounting publishes that company and ERP subscribes to it and creates the record in its company object. Similarly, when a company is updated in Accounting, that company is updated in ERP.
In FinancialForce Billing Central, the Company object contains the details of your company. This enables you to assign plans, contracts and invoices to legal entities in your organization. To use FinancialForce Billing Central, you must be assigned permissions on the ERP Company object.
