Provided SCM has been configured correctly to support the Capital Expenditure integration between SCM and FAM, messages containing purchasing information are sent automatically from SCM upon asset approval (acquisition). FAM receives these messages and automatically creates assets with the assigned asset group or asset sub-group. FAM sends asset group and asset sub group information to SCM.
You can view the messages that SCM sends, or publishes on the Message Types tab of the Administration application.
