Creating a Company Ownership Structure

To view all your Company Ownership records or to create new ownerships, click the Company Ownership tab.

This tab displays a list view with all the relevant company ownership fields such as:

Alternatively you can also assign an ownership from the company record.

To assign a company as a owner (parent) company:

  1. Click the Companies tab for the company that is partly or wholly owned by another.
  2. Either create a new company record, or find the existing one that you want to assign an owner company to.
  3. Scroll down to the Company Ownership related list.
  4. Click New Company Ownership.
  5. Complete the fields as described in Company Ownership Fields. You must enter either an internal company or an external company.
  6. Specify the proportion of ownership as a percentage. This cannot be zero or null.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Repeat the process for any other owner companies for this company. Total allocated ownership for a company cannot exceed 100%, but it can be less.
