Configuring Context Settings
The context panel is dynamically configurable. You can display from one to five dimensions on the panel. As an administrator, you can customize the context panel from the Main Configuration tab.
The Main Configurator tab allows you to configure the following types of context:
- Org Context - It is the base for all other context settings. If you are new to the Planning application, then by default, you receive the settings for the Org Context.
- User Context - It is the base for user settings.
User Context and Org Context are the same, but an administrator can have unique context settings in some cases.
To configure the user context:
- From the Main Configurator tab, choose one for the following options:
- Navigate to Context Settings and click User’s Context.
- Navigate to Planning Setup | Context | User’s Context.
- Specify the dimensions from one to five.
- Depending on the requirement, select Allow All checkbox to display the toggle "All Dimensions" in front of the corresponding dimension on the context panel.
- Click Save to save the user context configuration.
To configure an org context:
- From the Main Configurator tab, choose one for the following options:
- Navigate to Context Settings and click Org Context.
- Navigate to Planning Setup | Context | Org Context.
- Specify the dimensions from one to five.
- Depending on the requirement, select Allow All checkbox to display the toggle "All Dimensions" in front of the corresponding dimension on the context panel.
- Select the organization type and enter the name of the organization.
- Click Save to save the org context configuration.
