Creating and Updating Dimensions
As a first step for setting up the FinancialForce Planning application, you must create dimensions.
To create dimensions:
- From the Main Configurator tab, click Planning Setup. The Planning Setup page appears.
- In Dimensions, click Create Dimensions.
- Navigate to the Dimensions option from the left menu and click New.
- Enter the name and the page header for the dimension. The page header must be a plural of the dimension name.
- Select the currency for the dimension and click Save.
- Fill in the necessary information for the dimension and select the Context Filter checkbox to view the Context Filter bar in the new dimensions.
- Click Save.
- Click Preview.
- Click Save and redirect to apply the changes and go back to the dimension. After you have saved the dimension, you must create tags. For more information, see Creating Tags.
To update dimensions, select the dimensions and change the fields you want to update. When you have finished, click Save.
