Calculation Rules Fields

Here is a description of the fields (in alphabetical order) that make up calculation rules.

Key: * – Mandatory field

Source Filter

Source Filter Fields
Field   Description
Title * Unique title for a calculation rule.
Source Account(s) Filter   The calculation rule only affects the budget lines with the selected account.
BDG Filter

Depending on the calculation rule dimension setup, the title and the source accounts filter differ.

The calculation rule only affects the budget lines with the selected analytics. In this case, budget lines are selected by the BDG analytic.

Description   Description for a calculation rule.
Period   Indicates the period for the calculation rule. The calculation rule only affects the budget lines for the selected period. A month, a year, or a period from the period set.
BP_FF1 Filter   Indicates a filter for BP_FF1 analytic.
BP_FF2 Filter   Indicates a filter for BP_FF2 analytic.
BP_FF3 Filter   Indicates a filter for BP_FF3 analytic.
BP_FF4 Filter   Indicates a filter for BP_FF4 analytic.

Dependencies

Dependencies Fields
Field   Description
Type *

Type of mode for calculation rule. Currently, the calculation rule works in “Simple” mode.

In simple mode, each calculation rule must have one result budget line from one source budget line.

The number of source budget lines is the same as the result budget lines.

Rate

Indicates the coefficient of the current rule for calculation result budget line amounts.

For example, you can add 1000, increase on 15% or multiply by 1.5 each cell in a result budget line depending on your needs.

Relation

Indicates the calculation relation between source amount and calculation rule rate.

For example, relations are:

  • Add
  • Multiply
  • Percent
MIN   Indicates the minimum amount for the calculation rule. If the source budget line amount is lesser, then the rule is not applied.
MAX   Indicates the maximum amount for the calculation rule. If the source budget line amount is greater, then the rule is not applied.
Reverse   When enabled, the budget line amount is multiplied by -1.

Result

Result Fields
Field   Description
Fixed Rate * Indicates the fixed rate for the calculation rule. The specified amount is used in a result budget line.
Fixed MIN   Indicates the fixed minimum amount for the calculation rule. The amount in the result budget line cannot be less than the minimum specified amount.
Fixed MAX   Indicates the fixed maximum amount for the calculation rule. The amount in the result budget line cannot be greater than the maximum specified amount.
Description   Description for the calculation rule result.
Result Account   A result budget line gets a specified account from the Result Account drop-down.
BDG   A result budget line gets a specified BDG analytic from BDGdrop-down.
BP_FF1   A result budget line gets a specified BP_FF1 analytic from BP_FF1 drop-down.
BP_FF2   A result budget line gets a specified BP_FF2 analytic from BP_FF2 drop-down.
BP_FF3   A result budget line gets a specified BP_FF3 analytic from BP_FF3 drop-down.
BP_FF4   A result budget line gets a specified BP_FF4 analytic from BP_FF4 drop-down.
Apply source Account   When enabled, the result budget line the account from its source budget line.
Apply source BDG   When enabled, the resulting budget line gets the BDG analytic from its source budget line.
Apply source BP_FF1   When enabled, the resulting budget line gets the BP_FF1 analytic from its source budget line.
Apply source BP_FF2   When enabled, the resulting budget line gets the BP_FF2 analytic from its source budget line.
Apply source BP_FF3   When enabled, the resulting budget line gets the BP_FF3 analytic from its source budget line.
Apply source BP_FF4   When enabled, the resulting budget line gets the BP_FF4 analytic from its source budget line.
