Skills Management Settings

The Skills Management custom settings determine the behavior of records associated with skills management.

Note: We do not recommend creating a subset of the custom settings for a user or profile. If you do have to create a subset for some reason, check that all the settings selected or enabled for your org are reflected in the subset to ensure uniform behavior.

Additional Add Skills Fields API name of a field set used by the Skill Certification Rating object. This field set defines the additional fields for the Add Skill/Certification window in the Manage Skills and Certifications component. Additional_Add_Skills_Fields
Add Skills - Filter Field Set API name of a field set used by the Skill object. This field set defines the add skill filters for the Add Skill/Certification window in the Manage Skills and Certifications component. -
Display Evaluate Skills Button When selected, the Evaluate Skills button is visible on the Manage Skills and Certifications component. false
Enable Experience

Indicates that the experience a resource has in using a skill is displayed in the Manage Skills and Certifications Lightning component.

Outdated Skills Threshold in Days Indicates the number of days within which a skill / certification rating must be updated before it is identified as outdated. If a skill / certification rating is outdated, this triggers the Einstein Next Best Action - Update Skills feature. 42
Restrict Skills and Skill Sets by Role

Indicates that only skills and skill sets associated with the resource's role or without any associated role are displayed. This reduces the number of skill sets and skills displayed when adding skills and certifications for a resource.

Restrict to Skills with Existing Rating Indicates that only skills and certifications for which the related resource has a corresponding skill / certification rating record are displayed. This reduces the number of skills and certifications available for selection on an experience record. false
