Creating a Bank Format Mapping

We recommend that you read and understand What is a Bank Format Mapping? before creating any mapping records.

To create the top-level bank format mapping record:

1. Click the Bank Format Mappings tab.
2. Click New.
3. Enter a short, descriptive, meaningful, and unique name for this record. This must be similar to the name of bank format definition and include the word "Mapping".
4. Establish a relationship to the related bank format definition.
5. Define the root source object. Enter the API name of the object from which to generate the bank file.
6. Specify the date format, decimal, and thousands separators as required.
7. Click Save.

Now you can create the first bank mapping record type, such as the "Header" record type.
