Timer Overview
You can use the Timer as an additional way to log time more efficiently against your:
- Assignments
- Cases
- Milestones
- Projects
- Project Tasks
- Any other custom objects set up by your administrator
The range of records that timer sessions can be recorded against is customizable and may vary depending on how your administrator has configured the Timer in your org. Contact your administrator for more information.
Time logged using the timer appears in the list view of your timer after running a timer session, against the record you have logged time for.
The timer is also available in your workspace and utility bar for ease of access. For more information, contact your administrator.
The timer also allows you to sync your timer sessions to your timecards. For more information, see the Enabling Timecard Sync on the Timer topic.
