Enabling Other Sources for Mapping Rules

The Enabling Other Sources for Mapping Rules page allows you to transform records from Other Sources into Planning. For more information, see Mapping Rules.

To enable Other Sources for Mapping Rules, work through the manual step and then the automatic step.

  • For each manual step, follow the instructions on screen then click Mark As Done when the step is complete. More information about performing the manual steps is provided below.
  • For each automatic step, click Perform. When the step has completed, the Status changes from "Not Done" to "Done".

When you have completed all the steps, use the Status slider in the Feature section to enable the feature.

Manually Adding FFOther as a Source

You must manually add the picklist value "FFOther" to the Source field on the Mapping Rule object. This is necessary for later feature steps.

To do this:

  1. From Setup, navigate to Object Manager | Mapping Rule.
  2. Click Fields & Relationships.
  3. In the search bar, enter Source. Click Source.
  4. From the Values table, click New.
  5. In the text box, enter Other Sources - Custom Object.
  6. Click Save.
  7. On the Other Sources - Custom Object line, click Edit.
  8. In the API Name field, delete the existing name and enter FFOther.
  9. Click Save.
