Pushing an Estimate to an Opportunity
You can push the role requests and estimate products of a primary estimate as resource requests and opportunity products to the related opportunity. This enables the relevant data on the estimate to be included in utilization and forecasting calculations. When you create a project from an estimate, the estimate is automatically pushed to the related opportunity if it hasn't previously been pushed.
A new opportunity product is created for each estimate product with the following values:
- IsServicesProductLine: Defaults to true.
- Line Description: The description entered when pushing the estimate product to the opportunity product.
- Opportunity: The opportunity that the estimate is related to.
- Opportunity Product Date: The closing date of the new opportunity product.
- Product: The product selected when pushing the estimate to the opportunity.
- Quantity: Defaults to 1.
- Sales Price: The net amount of the selected estimate products.
- Total Estimated Expense Amount: The total amount of the estimated expenses on the estimate, if estimated expenses are enabled in your org.
- Total Vendor Line Item Bill Amount: The total bill amount of the vendor line items on the estimate, if vendor line items are enabled in your org.
