About Reminder Logs

Reminder logs are generated when you send reminder emails from the Collections page. A reminder log is generated for each reminder that is sent.

By default detailed reminder logs are created for all reminders. If you are sending multiple reminders to multiple contacts on your accounts, you can limit the number of detailed logs created by disabling the "Detailed reminder logs for all contacts" Collections Plus custom setting. This avoids "Too many SOQL queries" errors when sending reminders. Detailed reminder logs are only created for the finance contact on each account. If no finance contact exists, detailed logs are created for the first collections communication contact associated with the account.

You can review the reminder logs to view details of the reminders that were sent and any success or error messages generated.

Each log contains details of the reminder sent, including

  • The account and contact the reminder was sent to.
  • The sales invoice or billing document associated with the reminder.
  • Details of the email reminder message.
  • Attachments that were included in the email reminder.
  • Any messages generated by the reminder process.

Note:

If you have disabled the "Detailed reminder logs for all contacts" Collections Plus custom setting, only reminder logs in the list view that contain the email content have attachments.
