Company Tax Information Fields

Here is a description of the fields on the Company Tax Information object.

Key: * – Mandatory field; R – Read-only.

The number indicates the number of characters that are allowed in this text field, where appropriate.

Description

Company Tax Information Name * 80 Name of the company tax information record.
Default Tax Engine     The tax engine used by default for billing documents created in companies using this company tax information record. You can override this default by selecting a different tax engine when calculating tax on billing documents.
Tax Type     The type of tax this company tax information record is used for. For example, GST, SUT, or VAT.

Description

Tax Code   The default VAT/GST tax code for companies using this company tax information record.
Tax Country Code   Code for the European Union country in which companies using this company tax information record operate. You can update the entries in this custom picklist if required. The country code is required for the correct reporting of VAT on cross-border trades within the European Union.
Tax Registration Number 20 Identifying number used for VAT purposes.
VAT/GST Group  

Indicates whether companies using this company tax information record are part of a VAT/GST group. The value of this checkbox is used when determining which tax code to use. See How Certinia selects Tax Codes.
