Product Extension Fields

Foundations includes a Product Extension object that contains additional fields that relate to the Salesforce Product object, such as External Tax Code. You can specify one product extension record for each product. For more information, see the related topics.

Here is a description of the fields on the Product Extension object.

Key: * – Mandatory field; R – Read-only

Field Name		Description
Product Extension ID	R	Automatically assigned unique ID.
Product	*	Lookup to the related Salesforce product.
External Tax Code		Tax identifier for the product, such as the Avalara code that determines the taxability of the product. If your organization uses Avalara AvaTax to calculate SUT Sales and Use Tax on billing documents, the tax code is sent to Avalara automatically when you calculate tax.
