Custom Settings

Many of the configurable options in Foundations are set in Salesforce custom settings. These custom settings are available on your organization. From Setup click Develop | Custom settings. You must be signed in with system administrator permissions to change these settings.

Summary of Custom Settings
Custom Setting   Description
FDN Background Processing Settings   Contains settings that enable you to change the behavior of batch processes in Foundations.
FDN Messaging Settings   Contains settings that enable you to change the messaging behavior of Foundations.
FDN Common Object Settings   Contains the settings that determine the behavior of common objects or functionality affected by common objects.
FDN Currency and Exchange Rate Settings  

Contains settings that affect Foundations currency and exchange rate functionality.

We recommend that you manage these settings from the Exchange Rate Updates tab.

Feature Console Filter Settings   Contains settings that filter the list of features on the Feature Console page. These settings are automatically generated when a user filters the list of features to ensure the selections persist when they return to the page.
Permission Error Log Settings   Contains settings that enable permission error logs. By default, permission errors are not logged.
Update Exchange Rates - Currencies Settings  

Contains the currency ISO codes that the Update Exchange Rates scheduled job creates rates for. If no records exist, the scheduled job updates all currencies.

We recommend that you manage these settings from the Exchange Rate Updates tab.

Update Exchange Rates - Groups Settings  

Contains the exchange rate groups that the Update Exchange Rates scheduled job creates rates for. If no records exist, the scheduled job updates all groups.

We recommend that you manage these settings from the Exchange Rate Updates tab.

Update Exchange Rates - Rate Types Settings  

Contains the exchange rate types that the Update Exchange Rates scheduled job creates rates for. If no records exist, the scheduled job only updates the default rate type, which is defined on the Exchange Rate Type picklist on Exchange Rate Entry.
