Managing Resource Replacement Fields

Here is a description of the fields and buttons on the Replace Resources page.

Note:

The columns that appear on this page depend on the MassReassignAssignmentColumns field set in the Assignment object. For further information, see Resource Replacement Settings.

You cannot change the resource on assignments that have timecards or expenses logged against them. These are indicated by a warning triangle .

Filter Section

Field	Description
Available Resource Roles	Resource roles that you can filter the records on.
Resource Roles to Filter	Selected resource roles to filter the records on. Note: OR logic is used for the filter. For instance, if you choose several resource roles and enter some filter text, all records that contain at least one of the filter criteria are listed.
Filter Text	Text to filter the resources on. When you click filter records that contain the text in the Resource Name, Resource Role, Assignment ID, Task Assignment ID fields are shown. Note: OR logic is used for the filter. For instance, if you choose several resource roles and enter some filter text, all records that contain at least one of the filter criteria are listed.
Resource	The resource to search for.

Buttons

Button / Control	Description
Back to Project	Closes the Replace Resources page and returns you to the project detail page of the project from which you opened the Replace Resources page.
Add	Moves the selected resource role in the Available Resource Roles list to the Resource Roles to Filter list.
Cancel	Closes the Replace Resources page without replacing any resources.
Clear	Clears the current filter criteria.
Filter	Filters the records on the Replace Resources page using the filter criteria that you select.
Remove	Moves the selected resource in the Resource Roles to Filter list to the Available Resource Roles list.
Up/Down	Moves the selected resource in the Resource Roles to Filter list up or down. Note: Moving the items up or down in this list has no effect on the filtered results.

Resource Replacement Section

Field	Description
Resource	The resource to be used for the selected records.

Buttons

Button / Control	Description
Replace Resource	Replaces the resource on the selected records with the resource in the Resource field.

Filter Results

The Filter Results section shows project assignments, project task assignments and resource requests depending on the configuration your administrator has set.

Tip:

To sort the list in ascending or descending order on a particular heading, click the column heading that you want to sort the list on. A column sorted in ascending order is indicated by an upward pointing arrow . A column sorted in descending order is indicated by an downward pointing arrow .

Project Assignments

The Project Assignments section lists the assignments for the selected project if your administrator has configured PSA to display it.

Note:

You cannot change the resource on assignments that already have timecards or expenses logged against them. These assignments are marked.

Project Task Assignments

The Project Task Assignments section lists the project task assignments for the selected project if your administrator has configured PSA to display it.

Resource Requests

The Resource Requests section lists the resource requests for the selected project if your administrator has configured PSA to display it.

Buttons

Button / Control	Description
First / Previous / Next / Last	When the amount of records in one of the filter results sections exceeds the maximum amount of records per page that your administrator has set, allows you to jump to the first, previous, next or last page of results.
