Setting up Financial Statements
Financial Statements uses Lightning components, which require My Domain to be set up on your org. If you do not already have My Domain set up, it is essential that you do this first before proceeding to set up Financial Statements. For more information, see My Domain in the Salesforce Help.
Microsoft Edge is currently not recommended for use with Financial Statements.
Feature Console
If you have upgraded Financial Statements from Fall 2019 to Winter 2020, you must perform a Feature Console step to view your trial balance financial statement. This step enables you to view your trial balance financial statement using Lightning Experience, rather than via a Visualforce page. To perform this step, follow the instructions described in Enabling Financial Statements View Action with Feature Console.
Follow the steps below to begin using Financial Statements:
- Go to Analytics Studio and create an app, using either the Financial Statements or Financial Management Analytics app template. If you do not know how to do this, see Creating an App from the Financial Analytics Template.
- Click Details tab and copy the System Name from within the open app.
- From Setup go to Custom Code | Custom Settings.
- Next to Financial Statements Reporting Settings click Manage.
- Above the table click New.
- In the Analytics App Name field paste the System Name of the new app.
- Click Save.
- [Optional] Repeat steps 6 - 9 to add more users.
- Go to "Users".
- Add the Einstein Analytics Platform Admin and Financial Statements Reporting permission set to the necessary users.
- Click Save.
Those users now have access to the new app created in Financial Statements.
