Viewing Engagement Details

The Engagement record page was fully designed in Lightning Experience to provide a streamlined, visually compelling, and easy-to-use way of accessing all the relevant data. No matter what your role is, you can view the data that you require in just a few clicks.

To view the details of an engagement:

  1. Navigate to the Engagements tab.
  2. Open the engagement whose details you want to view. The engagement's details display. The table below provides more information on the available items.

Depending on the Certinia applications installed in your org and how the engagement functionality is set up, some elements might not be available.

Elements Included in the Engagement Lightning Record Page by Default

Description

Page Header

Consists of the compact layout and the Engagement Overview dashboard.

The compact layout displays all the fields stored on the engagement. You can view the engagement's number, the account that the engagement relates to, the start and end dates, and the description of the engagement.

The Engagement Overview dashboard displays high-level KPIs for the entire engagement. For more information, see Using the Engagement Overview Dashboard.

Timeline Section Displays the sources of the engagement in a timeline view. This allows you to see when specific segments of the engagement start, how long they take, and when they end. For more information, see Using the Engagement Timeline.
Summary Tab Displays an overview of the main KPIs for the professional services, subscription, and order management segments of the engagement. For more information, see Using the Engagement Summary Dashboard.
Services Tab Displays the relevant KPIs for the professional services segment of the engagement. For more information, see Using the Engagement Services Dashboard.
Subscriptions Tab Displays the relevant KPIs for the subscription billing segment of the engagement. For more information, see Using the Engagement Subscriptions Dashboard.
Order Management Tab Displays the relevant KPIs for the order management segment of the engagement. For more information, see Using the Order Management Dashboard.
Billing Tab Displays the Billing Documents related list. It contains all the billing documents from the different revenue streams. The Document Source field allows you to easily identify where a billing document originates from.
Revenue Recognition Tab

Displays the Revenue Contract and Revenue Schedule Lines related lists.

The Revenue Contract related list displays the revenue contract created for the engagement. You can view the number of performance obligations included in the contract, the contract's allocation status, revenue amount, total SSP, and total recognized amount. If a revenue contract doesn't exist for the engagement, you can create it using the Generate Revenue Contract action. For more information, see Generating Revenue Contracts for Engagements.

The Revenue Schedule Lines related list displays all the revenue schedules lines related to the engagements. For each line, you can view the related revenue schedule, the related performance obligation, the period start and end dates, as well as the revenue amount. Revenue schedules and their lines are automatically generated when you generate a revenue contract for the engagement.

Related Tab

Displays all the related lists included in the page layout. Depending on how your org is configured, the following related lists might display:

  • Billing Contracts
  • Billing Documents
  • Projects
  • Purchase Orders
  • Revenue Contract
  • Revenue Schedule Lines
  • Sales Orders
  • Sales Invoices
  • Sales Credit Notes

This allows you to easily view and access all the records related to the engagement.
