Timecard Task Hours
You can add, delete and view tasks on your timecards in the PSA Time Entry Lightning component, and record the time spent on these tasks. The type of task you can add depends on how your org is configured. Certain tasks can only be added against certain assignments, milestones, and projects. Contact your administrator for more information on how your org has been configured.
To add tasks to timecards:
- Open your draft or saved timecard in the PSA Time Entry Lightning component.
- Navigate to the Task Hours tab located at the bottom.
- Click Add Task.
- Select a project task from the picklist.
- Enter the amount of time.
- [Optional] You can select further project tasks one at a time, and enter time against them if you have more than one task to record time for.
- Click Save.
To delete tasks click the delete icon to the right of the task. Note that if you delete a task from one day, it will be removed from all days it has been entered on.
Task Restrictions
The following configurations are in place when adding tasks and task hours to your timecard:
- Your timecard will not save or submit if no hours have been entered on your tasks, unless you have a custom configuration which allows this in your org.
- You will not be able to amend or delete the task hours once the timecard has been submitted.
- You cannot duplicate tasks.
- Only tasks that are assigned to the currently selected project are available to select in the tasks picklist.
- Tasks and projects that are closed to time entry are not available to select in the tasks picklist.
