PSA Project Margin % Predictor (beta) Dashboard

The PSA Project Margin % Predictor (beta) dashboard provides visualization of the predicted final margin percentage on projects. Predictions are based on the Einstein Discovery model Project Margin % Predictor (beta).

The dashboard is designed to make project managers aware of any potential risk to planned project margin percentage based on historical performance, and shows actionable insights into mitigating risk and optimizing margin percentage value.

Note:

This dashboard is a beta feature and is currently in development.

Datasets

Data displayed in the dashboard is derived from the Project Margin dataset, which includes data from the Project Reporting dataset in PS Cloud Core Analytics. For more information on these datasets, see Project Reporting Dataset Output Fields.

1.

Predicted Final Margin

The final margin that it's predicted the project will achieve.

Calculated as Predicted Project Margin Percent x Project Bookings.
2.

Bar Chart

Displays the current actual margin and the predicted margin for the project, along with the average margin for all projects in your org.

Actual margin maps to Project Margin (%) in the Project Margin dataset.

Org average is calculated as the Project Margin % for all closed projects / total number of closed projects.

3.

Predicted Impact

Displays the predicted margin amount and predicted cost for the project in corporate currency.

Predicted project margin is calculated as Project Bookings x Predicted Project Margin %. For example, 120,000 x 3.11% = 3,732.

Predicted project cost is calculated as Project Bookings - Predicted Project Margin. For example, 120,000 - 3,732 = 116,268.
