Creating Payment Detail Templates in Lightning Experience
To create a payment details template:
- Navigate to the Payment Details Templates Lightning page.
- Click New. The New Payment Details Template window is displayed.
- In the Payment Details Template Name field, enter the name you want to use for the template. The name must be unique within the current company.
- In the Company field, specify the name of the Company for which you are creating the template. You can also enter few letters to search for the Company and choose it.
- [Optional] Select the bank account. This must belong to the current company.
- [Optional] Select the payment currency. This must be an accounting currency owned by the current company. You must select a payment currency if you are using the Asperato payment method.
- [Optional] Select the payment method. You can select Check, Check per PIN, Electronic, or Asperato.
- [Optional] If you selected the Asperato payment method, use the drop-down list in the Payment Destination field to select the destination of your outbound payment.
- [Optional] If you selected a domestic payment destination, do one of the following:
- If you need to specify a local clearing system: Use the drop-down list in the Local Clearing System field to select a local clearing system for the selected payment currency.
- If you do not need to specify a local clearing system: Leave the Local Clearing System field blank.
- [Optional] Select Select Invoices for Separate Payments if you want to create payments at invoice level instead of account level. You can only select this checkbox if you have selected a payment method other than Electronic.
- [Optional] Select the Settlement Discount general ledger account (GLA) and the dimensions.
- [Optional] Select the Currency Write-Off GLA and the dimensions.
- When you have finished, click Save. You can also click Save & New to save the changes to the current record and then immediately begin to create another.
When you create a new payment proposal using Vendor Payment Lightning Experience, the default template for the selected company is loaded automatically. You can select a different template or override the details loaded from the default template.
After creating the payment details template, you can also specify filters that you want to display as default filters while creating a new payment. For more information, see Editing Payment Details Template Filters.
