Custom Fields on Sales Invoices and Credit Notes
In Classic Edition The view of the application that you see when you first install the base managed package., expander panels on the sales invoice and sales credit note pages display any custom fields that your administrator One or more individuals in your organization who can configure and customize the application. Users assigned the System Administrator profile have administrator privileges. has configured.

These custom fields can be either editable or read-only.
There are no lookup icons on these fields. You must know the exact name or value you need to enter and use its correct spelling and format.
Unless you are going to map your custom fields using sub-analysis mapping Mapping of custom fields at header and line level for the purpose of profitability reporting., you will need to create an integration rule to expose your custom fields on the sales invoice or sales credit note object.
