Accessing the Online Help

A link to the Certinia Help is available on the Certinia home page layout. Your home page layouts are only visible to users after you assign them to a user profile.

Customize Home Page Layouts

Before you can access the Certinia Help, you must perform one of the following tasks:

To customize an existing home page layout:

  1. From Setup, click Customize | Home | Home Page Layouts.
  2. Click Edit next to a home page layout.
  3. Select the Accounting Links and Accounting Company checkboxes.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Arrange the components on your home page.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Repeat for any other active home page layouts that you may have.

To assign the supplied Certinia home page layout to your user profiles:

  1. Click Setup | Customize | Home | Home Page Layouts.
  2. Click Page Layout Assignment.
  3. Click Edit Assignment.
  4. Choose the Accounting page layout for each profile.
  5. Click Save.

To show the custom sidebar components (such as the Company indicator) on all pages and make the sidebar collapsible:

  1. Click Setup | Customize | User Interface
  2. In the Sidebar section, select Show Custom Sidebar Components on All Pages.
  3. Select Enable Collapsible Sidebar to let users collapse and expand the sidebar. Collapsing the sidebar allows users to maximize the work area in their browser window.
  4. Click Save.
