Sending Plans to Analytics

Extended Planning and Analysis enables you to send a plan to Analytics as a new dataset or as part of an existing dataset.

Notes:

• If the plan contains multiple scenarios, all the scenarios are sent to Analytics.
• Cell comments are not sent to Analytics.

To send a plan to Analytics as a new data source:

1. From the Plans tab, navigate to a specific plan.
2. Click Send to Analytics.
3. Click New.
4. Click Next.
5. Enter a unique name in the Name field. An API name is auto-populated.
6. Select an app.
7. Click Send.

To send a plan to Analytics to an existing data source:

Notes:

• You can only export plans to Analytics if the existing data source in Planning and Analysis has the output option enabled.
• The data source used for your plan must be linked to a dataset in Analytics and all dimension and measure mappings must be complete. You can select an output data source on the mass action tab if one was not already assigned.

1. From the Plans tab, select one or multiple plans.
2. Click Send to Analytics.
3. Click Existing.
4. Click Next.
5. Search for a data source name in the Name field.
6. Click Send.
