New Features and Enhancements in Financial Report Builder Spring 2024

The following new features have been introduced in the Spring 2024 release of Financial Report Builder.

If you are upgrading from a previous version, see Upgrading to Financial Report Builder Spring 2024. This provides a summary of the items that have been added for each feature and details of any required upgrade steps.

Board Pack Enhancements

Searching Reports

You can now search for reports by entering the name of the report you want in the search bar on your mapping page. This enables you to easily search for a report without the need to scroll through a list, resulting in a quicker selection and a more efficient way of selecting filters for your board pack.

Note:

If you only want to include the reports returned from searching in your board pack, deselect all reports selected by default before using the search feature.

Ordering Reports

You can now set the order of your reports in your board pack. To order your reports, drag and drop each report to your required position. Your reports, from top to bottom, are displayed in your board pack from left to right respectively.

Commenting on Reports

You can now add comments to your reports. This enables you to substantiate the data in your reports with a worded explanation.

For more information, see Formatting Reports and Exporting Reports and Statements.

Read-Only Components

If you create Lightning pages that contain Financial Report Builder components, you can set the access of these components to read-only. This enables other users to view the components within a Lightning page, but not to make any changes.

Note:

The Read-Only checkbox is only available for components used outside the Financial Report Builder record view. However, for the Current Period Date component, the Read-Only checkbox is available both within the global and record views.

For more information, see Financial Report Builder Lightning Components Overview.
