Using the Deferred Revenue Reconciliation (Beta) Dashboard
The Deferred Revenue Reconciliation (Beta) dashboard enables you to perform the following actions:
- Review the activity on your deferred revenue account.
- Reconcile your general ledger account against the subsystems that create your invoicing and recognition transactions.
- Identify variances such as missing recognition transactions.

Datasets
Data displayed in this dashboard is derived from the following datasets:
- Recognition Transactions. This dataset uses objects and fields derived from Revenue Management.
- Billing Documents. This dataset uses fields derived from the Billing Document object in Billing Central, and additional objects and fields derived from Accounting and Foundations.
- Financial Transactions. This dataset uses objects and fields derived from Accounting.

Managing Filters
Your filter selections determine the data displayed on the Reconciliation, General Ledger, Revenue Management and Billing Documents pages. By default, the filters panel is displayed in this dashboard. You can toggle between hiding and displaying the filters panel by clicking . To set or change your filters, use the following drop-down options:
- Company: select the company you want to see data for.
- Currency: select the documents you want to see data for, based on their currency.
- GLA: select the GLA you want to see data for.
- Period: select the financial year and period you want to see data for.
Using Dashboard Pages
The Deferred Revenue Reconciliation (Beta) dashboard contains the following pages, tables, local filters and components:

The Reconciliation status of your transactions:

Displays transactions posted to the general ledger account you have specified for deferred revenue. This page enables you to check for discrepancies between your invoicing and recognition subledgers and your general ledger.
The data displayed in the General Ledger summary table is derived from the Financial Transactions dataset. For details of these fields used in this dataset, see Financial Transactions Output Fields.
Summary details for each transaction are displayed in the table. These are:
- Account Name
- Transaction Date
- Transaction Type
- Transaction Name
- Transaction Line Name
- Transaction Document Number
- Document Value
Local Filters
In addition to the global filters available on this page, you can apply further local filters to the data displayed in the summary table. These local filters are:
- Account Name
- Transaction Type
- Transaction Name
- Transaction Document Number
Displays committed revenue recognition transactions for the general ledger account you have specified for deferred revenue. This page enables you to check for discrepancies between your invoicing and recognition subledgers and your general ledger.
The data displayed in the Revenue Management summary table is derived from the Recognition Transactions dataset. For details of the fields used in this dataset, see Recognition Transactions Fields.
Summary details for each transaction are displayed in the table. These are:
- Salesforce Account
- Recognized Date
- Transaction Number
- Transaction Line Number
- Product Name
- Primary Object Record Name
- Level 2 Object Record Name
- Status. By default, this is set to "Committed".
- Amount Recognized
Local Filters
In addition to the global filters available on this page, you can apply further local filters to the data displayed in the summary table. These local filters are:
- Salesforce Account
- Transaction Name
- Transaction Line Name
- Status
Displays completed billing documents for the general ledger account you have specified for deferred revenue.
This page enables you to check for discrepancies between your invoicing and recognition subledgers and your general ledger.
The data displayed in the billing documents summary table is derived from the Billing Documents dataset. For details of the fields used in this dataset, see Billing Documents Fields.
Summary details for each billing document are displayed in the table. These are:
- Account Name
- Document Date
- Document Number
- Document Line
- Product Name
- Contract Name
- Document Type
- Billing Document Status. By default, this is set to "Complete".
- Posting Status
- Reporting Net Value
The total value of all billing documents is displayed in the top row of the Reporting Net Value column. By default, rows in this table are sorted in descending order by date.
Local Filters
In addition to the global filters available on this page, you can apply further local filters to the data displayed in the summary table. These local filters are:
- Billing Documents
- Account Name
- Document Number
- Billing Document Status
- Posting Status

You can drill through to view details of records displayed in rows under the following table columns:

To view details of a selected record:
- Click the cell you want to drill. Drillable cells are highlighted in bold blue text. Depending on your selection, a Billing Central or Revenue Management license is required to view further details.
- Click , then click Open Record.
- The source record opens in the Billing Central or Revenue Management app.
