If you are upgrading from a previous version, see Upgrading to Financial Analytics Spring 2024. This provides a summary of the items that have been added for each feature and details of any required upgrade steps.

Comparing Plans with Actuals

You can now compare your budget data from your plans from Extended Planning and Analysis with your actuals data from the transactions and reporting balances included in the Financial Balances dataset. For this purpose, we have introduced the following enhancements.

For more information, see Comparing Plans with Actuals.

Financial Plans Dataset

We have added a new dataset to Business Analytics. The Financial Plans dataset includes information about your plans from Extended Planning and Analysis.

The data from the Financial Plans dataset is updated every time you send a plan to this dataset from Extended Planning and Analysis.

The data from the Financial Plans dataset is combined with the data from the Financial Balances dataset for the first time when you create a new app, upgrade your app, or reconfigure an Financial Analytics app. The data is then updated when the Financial Analytics dataflow that relates to your app runs.

For more information, see:

Financial Analytics Dataflow

We have added new nodes to the Financial Analytics dataflow to combine the data from the Financial Plans with the data from the Financial Balances dataset and populate the Financial Balances dataset with the combined data.

For more information, see Financial Balances.

Business Analytics Task Launcher

In this release, we have added the Business Analytics Task Launcher. It includes a task that enables you to create the Financial Plans dataset.

For more information, see:

Enhancements to the Financial Matching Dataset

For transaction line items of type "Currency Revaluation", the Transaction Line Item Due Date field no longer displays 1970-01-01. Instead, the field value is retrieved from the Transaction Date field.

On the summary table on the Aged Analysis by Date and Aged Analysis by Period dashboards, these transaction line items are now included in the corresponding age range column according to your configured age ranges and the Transaction Line Item Due Date field value.
