Updating a Currency’s Name when Only ISO Code is Displayed
If you activated a new currency before it was fully available in Foundations, only the ISO code is displayed.
For example:
- In Foundations Spring 2023, you began using Sierra Leone’s new currency, SLE. The currency displays as SLE - SLE, rather than the full name.
- You want to continue using the currency, but would like the name displayed to contain more detail, such as SLE - Sierra Leone Leone.
To display the full name, complete the following steps:
- From Setup, navigate to the Exchange Rate Group object.
- Navigate to the Selected Currencies field and click the field label to view the field information.
- In the Values section, edit the currency that relates to the new currency.
- Enter the new label and API name in the format ISO Code - Currency Name, for example SLE - Sierra Leone Leone. For more information about editing a field, see the Salesforce Help.
- If you also use the new currency as a default currency, edit the label and API name on the Default Currency field.
