Using Add-ins with Lockbox
If Lockbox's standard processes for importing, cash entry creation, and cash matching do not suit your business practices you can write your own custom classes and plug them in. For example, you might want to import cash receipts from fixed length files with no field separators, or you might want to match cash to sales invoice lines rather than sales invoice headers. The Product Services team at Lockbox can assist with developing custom classes to meet your business needs.
Once the custom class has been written, you must:
- Create a Lockbox Process Setting record for the class.
- Create a bank lockbox that uses the class.
When that bank lockbox is used, your custom class will replace Lockbox's standard processing for the relevant process. For example, you might have a custom class for importing cash receipts, then use Lockbox's standard processing for cash entry creation and cash matching. If you implement one or more custom classes, the procedures that users need to follow when using Lockbox may differ from the procedures described in this documentation.
