Creating a Miscellaneous Receipt
If an item is to be added to available inventory for a reason other than through the normal acquisition process, you can do so by creating a miscellaneous receipt.
To create a miscellaneous receipt:
- Do one of the following:
- Click Available Inventory on the item master of the item to be added to the inventory.
- Search for the item on the Inventory tab.
- Click Miscellaneous Receipt.
- Select a reason for the receipt. For instance, if the items were previously thought to be lost, you might select Found Items
- Enter additional information about the receipt in the Comments field.
- Select the warehouse that received the inventory.
- [Optional] Select the condition of the received inventory.
- [Optional] Select the owner of the inventory.
- Enter the number of items received in the quantity field.
- [Optional] Enter the cost of one item in the unit cost field.
- Click OK.
