Picking the Items on a Production Order
Before you can start to work on a production order, the items must first be picked from the material warehouse. The picking process for a production order consists of confirming the picklist associated with the production order once its items are picked.
Confirming Production Order Picklists
This section describes the steps you must perform to confirm production order picklists.
Using Lightning Experience
To confirm production order picklists:
- Click the Production tab. This tab belongs to the Action Queues app and you can search for it using the App Launcher.
- Click the Production Orders to Fill tab.
- Select the production order picklists that you want to confirm.
- [Optional] Click Print to see a print preview of the selected picklists. You can print or download this preview using the options in your browser.
- Click Confirm to confirm that the items on the selected picklists have been picked.
To help you keep track of your printed picklists, the Printed field shows a check mark after you click Print for a picklist and the print preview opens. Note that the check mark shows once the print preview opens, whether you print the preview from your browser or not is not controlled by the field.
When you confirm a production order picklist, such picklist is no longer listed in the Production Orders to Fill subtab. Instead, the associated production order displays in the Production Orders in Progress subtab.
