Editing Existing Mappings

You can edit a custom mapping on the PSA objects containing a unique target field, child relationship mappings, a unique target field, and target child type. If a managed mapping exists with the same information, the custom mapping overrides it.

Notes:
  • When you make changes on a Concur - PSA Configuration Lightning page, then the changes get displayed in the Custom Metadata Types and vice-versa.
  • When you edit mappings on a Concur - PSA Configuration Lightning page, some fields are not displayed. You can only edit the PSA and third-party fields on managed records. For more information, see IHC Mappings Concur to PSA Fields.

To edit mappings:

  1. Open the Concur - PSA Configuration tab.
  2. Navigate to the relevant field mapping components, select the field type that contains the relationship you want to edit mappings for from the list view.
  3. To make changes to an existing mapping, click and click Edit.
  4. Click Save. The changes to the mapping are now saved.
  5. Click Push Mappings to push mappings to the Integration Hub.
Note:

The new Concur - PSA Configuration Lightning tab allows you to edit mappings on the PSA objects, but you can also manually edit mappings in the Setup.

Examples

The following examples provide steps on how to edit an existing mapping:

The following example contains the necessary steps for editing the existing mapping for the Project Manager field in Concur. You can edit other mappings following the same steps.

By default, the project manager's email is synced to Concur. You can change this to any custom field.

Note:

We assume that you have properly configured the PSA Project and Sync Project Managers fields in the Integration Hub Connector: Concur - PSA custom setting. For more information, see Configuring the Integration Hub Connector: Concur - PSA Custom Setting Fields.

  1. Open the Concur - PSA Configuration tab.
  2. Navigate to the Concur - PSA Project Field Mappings component.
  3. Select the PSAProject ProjectManager field and click and click Edit.
  4. Next to PSA Field, enter pse__Project_Manager__r. followed by the API name of a field on the Contact object. For example, pse__Project_Manager__r.Employee_ID__c.
  5. Leave the remaining values unchanged.
  6. Click Save. The changes to the mapping are now saved.
  7. Click Push Mappings to push mappings to the Integration Hub.

The following example contains the necessary steps for editing the existing mapping that controls which PSA projects are eligible for sending to Concur. You can follow similar steps to change the fields that control which assignments and resources are sent to Concur.

Note:

We assume that you have created a custom checkbox field called Sync with Concur on the Project object.

  1. Open the Concur - PSA Configuration tab.
  2. Navigate to the Concur - PSA Project Field Mappings component.
  3. Select the PSAProject SendToThirdPartyExpensesAppli and click and click Edit.
  4. Next to PSA Field, enter the API name of your custom field, for example, Sync_with_Concur__c.
  5. Leave the remaining values unchanged.
  6. Click Save. The changes to the mapping are now saved.
  7. Click Push Mappings to push mappings to the Integration Hub.
