Enabling 1099 Income Tax Type Picklist Update

This Feature Console page updates the Income Tax Type picklist values used in the 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC processes.

This updates the Income Tax Type picklist values by:

  1. Adding and activating the necessary values from the picklists on the following objects: Account, Payable Invoice, Payable Credit Note, and Transaction Line Item.
  2. Removing and deactivating the unnecessary values from the picklists.

Work through the steps in the order shown.

  • For each automatic step, click Perform. When the step has completed, the Status changes from “Not Done” to “Done”.
  • For the manual step, follow the instructions on screen, then click Mark as Done when the step is complete. More information about performing the manual step is provided below.

When you have completed all the steps, use the Status slider in the Feature section to enable the feature.

Manually Replacing Picklist Values for Existing Records

If you have created records for either the Account, Payable Credit Note, Payable Invoice, or Transaction Line Item objects before enabling this Feature Console feature, you must manually replace the deactivated values with the activated ones as the feature does not update picklist values on existing records.

If you use record types for any objects, for example, for the Account object, you must manually update the Income Tax Types picklist values in each of them as this Feature Console feature does not update picklist values on record types.
