Creating a Bank Format Definition
We recommend that you read and understand What is a Bank Format Definition? before creating any definition records.
To create the top-level bank format definition record:
- Click the Bank Format Definitions tab.
- Click New.
- Enter a short, descriptive, meaningful and unique name for this record.
- Enter a unique external ID. For more information, see Choosing an External ID.
- [Optional] Make suitable choices from the checkboxes as required. These are described in Bank Format Definition Fields.
- Click Save.

Now you can create the first bank definition record type, such as a "Header" record type.
