Creating a Summary Tax Code

To use Avalara AvaTax to calculate tax for billing documents in Billing Central, you must create a tax code that represents the summarized tax on a billing document line and give it a tax rate starting from the earliest date for which you want to generate billing documents. We recommend that you set this tax rate to zero. Avalara AvaTax calculates the actual tax rate and tax value for each billing document line. For more information, see Tax Codes.
