Importing and Exporting Plans
Extended Planning and Analysis enables you to export, import, and reimport plans in Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet (XLSX) format. This section provides information about export and import scenarios.
You can export a plan as an XLSX file to enable others in your organization to make changes and import the plan back into Extended Planning and Analysis. To export and edit a plan as an XLSX file and reimport it to Extended Planning and Analysis, the plan structure in Excel must remain the same as in Planning. Refer to the following criteria when creating your data import spreadsheet:
- You can add, modify, or delete columns or rows and numeric values.
- Cell values must be numeric.
- If you apply formatting to cells, you must use one of the following custom formats: "UnitCode" #.##0.00 or #.##0.00 "UnitCode". Replace UnitCode with the value of the Code field for a Planning unit record defined in your org. For more information, see Planning Units.
- Ensure all information you want to import is contained in one sheet of the XLSX file.
- Dimensions and measures must remain the same. You cannot add, modify, or delete them.
- All dimension value name combinations and column names must be unique.
