Setting up Guided Scoping Using Generative AI

This page explains the setup steps required for guided scoping using generative AI.

To complete the steps, you must be assigned the System Administrator profile and the Prompt Template Manager permission set.

  1. Contact Salesforce to activate one of the following add-on licenses. These are standard Salesforce add-on licenses. For more information, see the Salesforce Help.
    • Einstein for Platform
    • Einstein for Sales
    • Einstein for Services
  2. Assign the Einstein Prompt Templates permission set license to the following users. This is a standard permission set license. For more information, see the Salesforce Help.
    • Administrators who must manage and execute prompt templates.
    • Users who need requirement responses to be generated by the Generate Scoping Requirement Responses prompt template when adding estimates products to a scoping session. This includes the following users:

      • Estimators
      • Estimating managers
      • Sales representatives
  3. Assign the Prompt Template Manager permission set to the following users. This is a standard Salesforce permission set. For more information, see the Salesforce Help.
    • Administrators who need to create and manage prompt templates.
    • Users who need requirement responses to be generated by the Generate Scoping Requirement Responses prompt template when adding estimates products to a scoping session. This includes the following users:

      • Estimators
      • Estimating managers
      • Sales representatives
    Note:

    Only if don't complete step 4, assign this permission set to the estimator, estimating manager, and sales representative users.

  4. [Optional] Perform the following steps if you want to allow users with the Prompt Template User permission set to have requirement responses to be generated by the Generate Scoping Requirement Responses prompt template when adding estimates products to a scoping session. This is a standard Salesforce permission set. For more information, see the Salesforce Help.
    1. Activate the Generate Scoping Requirement Responses prompt template. Be aware that if you activate the prompt template, you cannot edit it. You must create a new version to make and save any modifications. For more information, see the Salesforce Help.
    2. Assign the Prompt Template User permission set to the following users.
      • Estimators
      • Estimating managers
      • Sales representatives
  5. Enable the Generative AI Guided Scoping Settings custom setting for the users that need requirement responses to be generated by the Generate Scoping Requirement Responses prompt template when adding estimates products to a scoping session. This includes the following users:
    • Estimators
    • Estimating managers
    • Sales representatives
