Migrating from the Order and Inventory Management Direct for Avalara to Core
Starting with Winter 2023, most of the functionality available in the Order and Inventory Management Direct for Avalara extension package is also available in Order and Inventory Management.
The following features are currently not available in Order and Inventory Management:
- Defining a list of nexus regions. Instead, you can define more sophisticated eligibility criteria. For more information, see OIM Tax Calculation Settings Fields.
- Automatically marking tax as "Committed" for invoices and AP vouchers when tax is committed for the related sales or payable invoices in Accounting. If you use the Order and Inventory Management – FinancialForce Connector, you must manually set the External Tax Status field to "Committed" for invoices, credit invoices, AP vouchers, and AP voucher credits.
Perform the following tasks to migrate from the Order and Inventory Management Direct for Avalara package to using the features available in Order and Inventory Management.
