Drop-down List Dependencies

The Timecard Entry page supports a controlling and dependent relationship for drop-down lists on timecard fields. For example, you can add this relationship between the Project and Methodology drop-down lists. Only certain values appear in the Methodology list depending on the value selected in the Project drop-down list.

The controlling and dependent drop-down lists must be in the same field set of a timecard, such as the timecard line or notes. When the controlling drop-down list is not displayed in the same section as the dependent list, all the options are shown on the dependent drop-down list and an error message is displayed.

To use the dependent picklist, the API Enabled checkbox under the Administrative Permissions in the user's profile must be checked.
