Setting up Report Printing
Create a Static Resource to Store a Logo
The logo images that might appear on your printed reports are stored in a static resource file in your Salesforce org. The file name of the logo image is then referenced on each reporting definition The top-level object from which reports are run.. The logo image stored on the company record in Accounting is not used in Reporting.
To create the static resource:
- Create a zip file containing the images that you want to use on your reports. These images must be the correct dimensions because you cannot resize them later. Do not use spaces or special characters in any of the image file names.
- Click Your Name | Setup | Develop | Static Resources.
- Click New.
- In the Name field, type ReportingUserImages. You must type the name exactly as shown here, with the same capitalization and no spaces.
- [Optional] Enter a description.
- Next to the File field, click Browse to navigate to the zip file that contains the images.
- [Optional] Set the Cache Control field to Public.
- Click Save.
Later, you must enter the file name of the appropriate image file contained in the zip file into the Logo Image field on each of the reporting definitions where you want the logo to appear. When configured correctly, the logo appears on all reports created from these report definitions.
