Enabling Historic FX Rates - Source Object Setup

This Feature Console page helps you to set up your source objects to use historic exchange rates. The feature automatically adds the following fields to your chosen source objects, and updates their recognition settings records to include mappings for the new fields:

  • Document Rate
  • Dual Currency
  • Dual Rate
  • Home Currency

If you are upgrading from a version of Revenue Management earlier than Spring 2019, you must first enable the RM Historic Currency Exchange Rates feature to create fields that are required by the current feature.

Note:

Once the Historic FX Rates - Source Object Setup feature is enabled you cannot revert it. If you want to remove it for any reason, you must manually remove the fields that are created on your chosen source objects and undo the mappings that are added to their recognition settings records.

To enable the Historic FX Rates - Source Object Setup feature:

  1. Click Launch then choose the source objects you want to update.
  2. Click Add Fields to update your chosen source objects and their recognition settings records. When the process completes, the step is marked as "Done". You must now complete feature steps 2 and 3 manually.
  3. For feature step 2, manually update the page layouts of your source objects to include the new fields. Click Mark as Done when you have completed the updates.
  4. For feature step 3, follow the instructions in Configuring a Salesforce Flow To Automatically Populate Historic Exchange Rate Fields on Your Source Records. Click Mark as Done when you have completed the configuration.

When you have completed all the steps, use the Status slider in the Feature section to enable the feature.
