Services CPQ Settings

Use these settings to manage the behavior of Services CPQ.

Automatically Adjust Estimate Dates If selected, editing the dates of a child record to outside the dates of the parent record will automatically adjust all parent records to include the dates. If deselected, editing the dates of a child record to outside the dates of the parent record will not affect the dates of any parent records. true
Copied Role Request Override Field Set The API name of the field set that defines the fields whose original values can be overridden on copied role requests. Create Estimate Filters Field Set

The API name of the field set that defines the fields displayed in the filters panel when creating an estimate.

Note:

The following field types are not supported and will not be displayed in the Filters panel:

  • Date/Time
  • Email
  • Picklist (Multi-Select)
  • Phone
  • Text (Encrypted)
  • Text Area
  • Time
  • URL

If the specified field set only contains unsupported fields, or is empty, the Filters button is not displayed.

Create Estimate Template Summary Fields The API name of the field set that contains the additional fields displayed in estimate template summaries when creating an estimate or estimate template. ffscpq__Estimate_Template_Summary_Card_Fields
Create Project from Estimate Field Set The API name of the field set that defines the project fields that are editable when project details are displayed during creation of a project from an estimate. pse__createProjectFromOppAndTempProjColumns
Disable Edit of Added Estimate Products If selected, estimate products that have been added to opportunity are not editable. false
Disable Estimate Phases If selected, estimate phases will not be displayed in the Estimate Builder component. Estimate phases cannot be added to an estimate when the Hours Breakdown view is not displayed. false
Disable Estimate Role Skills If selected, estimate role skills are disabled in Services CPQ. false
Disable Estimate Vendor Line Items

If selected, vendor line items on estimates are disabled in Services CPQ. They are not included in any calculations and records are not created from them when creating a project from an estimate.

Note:

To ensure vendor line items are not displayed anywhere in Services CPQ, you must:

  • Remove the SCPQ - Manage Estimate Vendor Line Items permission set from the Certinia - SCPQ - Estimator permission set group.
  • Unassign the SCPQ - Manage Estimate Vendor Line Items permission set from any users.
  • Remove the vendor line item fields from the Estimate Additional Costs Highlights highlights configuration.
  • Remove the Estimated Vendor Line Items related list from the Estimate Page Layout.

Disable Estimated Expenses

If selected, estimated expenses on estimates are disabled in Services CPQ. They are not included in any calculations and records are not created from them when creating a project from an estimate.

Note:

To ensure estimated expenses are not displayed anywhere in Services CPQ, you must:

  • Remove the SCPQ - Manage Estimated Expenses permission set from the Certinia - SCPQ - Estimator permission set group.
  • Unassign the SCPQ - Manage Estimated Expenses permission set from any users.
  • Remove the estimated expense fields from the Estimate Additional Costs Highlights highlights configuration.
  • Remove the Estimated Expenses related list from the Estimate Page Layout.

Disable Hours Breakdown and Schedules If selected, the Hours Breakdown view will not be displayed in the Estimate Builder component and schedules in Services CPQ are disabled. Schedule records are not created or updated in Services CPQ. Estimate phases cannot be added to an estimate when the Hours Breakdown view is not displayed. false
Disable Milestone Creation

If selected, milestones will not be created from estimate records when creating a project from an estimate or adding an estimate to a project.

Notes:
  • The Create Milestone checkbox will remain visible if the user has permission to view it.

Disable Population of Milestone on RR If selected, the milestone field on the Resource Request object will not be populated when creating a project. If deselected, the milestone field on the Resource Request object will be populated when creating a project. The created resource requests within the associated line sets will be consolidated. true
Disable Multi-Currency Estimates If selected, estimates cannot contain estimate products of a different currency to the estimate. false
Disable Opportunity Product Creation If selected, opportunity products will not be created when adding an estimate to an opportunity or creating a project from an estimate. false
Disable Role Request Consolidation

If selected, when resource requests are created from an estimate, a separate resource request is created for each role request.

If deselected, role requests are consolidated into resource requests according to the selected grouping criteria.

Disable Role Request Suggested Resource If selected, suggested resources on role requests are disabled in Services CPQ. true
Disable Suggested Resource Cost Rate If selected, and a suggested resource is assigned to the role request, the average cost rate on the role request's associated rate card is used instead of the default cost rate on the selected suggested resource's contact card as the cost rate for the role request. This setting automatically recalculates the cost rate on existing role requests. false
Estimate Win Rate Prediction ID The ID of the Estimate Win Rate Prediction from the Einstein Discovery model in the Services CPQ Advanced Analytics app. None
Guided Scoping Flow Identifier The string that must be included in the description of active autolaunched flows that can be selected for guided scoping actions. Guided Scoping
Ignore Work Calendars by Default If selected, work calendars are ignored by default when scheduling in the Hours Breakdown in new estimates. You can change this behavior on individual estimates using the Use Work Calendars for Scheduling field. false
Maximum Daily Hours for RR Schedule The maximum number of hours per day for resource request schedules created from role requests. 24

Resource Request Recreation Fields

The API name of the field set that contains the fields used to compare the existing resource request and the new resource request for discrepancies caused by edits to the associated role requests. If the fields in the field set have been edited, the original resource request is deleted and recreated when re-adding an estimate to opportunity. If the fields are not edited, the existing resource request is updated.

Role Request Consolidation Field Set

The API name of the field set that contains the additional fields to be populated when consolidating estimate role requests into a resource request.

For example, if the Bill Amount field is included in the specified field set, this field can be selected in the grouping criteria when adding an estimate to an opportunity or creating a project from an opportunity. Role requests that have the same bill amount will then be consolidated into one resource request. Scoping Session Est Prod Filter Fields

The API name of the field set that defines fields displayed in the Filters panel when adding estimate products to a scoping session.

Note:

The following field types are not supported and will not be displayed in the Filters panel:

  • Currency
  • Date/Time
  • Email
  • Picklist (Multi-Select)
  • Phone
  • Text (Encrypted)
  • Text Area
  • Time
  • URL
