Exporting 1099-NEC Payments Data

You can export the details of payments made to 1099-NEC reportable accounts to a CSV file. To export the data:

  1. Go to the Tax Reporting Task Launcher tab.
  2. Click Prepare 1099-NEC.
  3. Select the company that you want to export data for.
  4. Select the range of dates that you want to export data for. This is usually a full calendar year, January 1 to December 31. Transaction line items of type "Account" for which a cash matching has been performed on a date that falls within the range of dates defined are retrieved. The defined values apply to each account.
  5. Define a threshold value for one or more income tax types as required. If the total value of the transaction line items is below the defined threshold value, transaction data for that income tax type is not exported.
  6. Click Prepare.

You are notified by email and by a Salesforce notification of the success or failure of this operation.

If qualifying transaction line items are found, a CSV file is created. The file contains the total value of the transaction line items retrieved for each account and each income tax type. The file also includes information about the selected company and the accounts.

To access the CSV file generated, follow the link in the email that you receive or click the Salesforce notification to navigate to the detail page of the file. You can download the file, view it in your default viewing application, such as Microsoft Excel or similar, and then save the file to your preferred location. You can also access the CSV files from the Files tab.
