Creating a Plan for a Record Page
Depending on how your org is configured, you might be able to create a plan from record pages for other objects using the xP&A Embedded Plan component. For example, if your administrator has configured this component for the Project record page, you can initiate plan creation while viewing a specific project. Once you create the plan, it automatically links to that project and becomes visible on its record page. To create a plan from a record page:
- Open the record that you want to create a plan from.
- From within the xP&A Embedded PlanLightning component, click New Plan.

Depending on how the component is configured, do one of the following:
- If the component uses a plan template, follow the steps to create a plan from a plan template. For more information, see Creating a Plan from a Plan Template.
- If the component does not use a plan template, follow the steps to create a plan from a blank plan or a data source. For more information, see Creating a Blank Plan or Creating a Plan from a Data Source.
After the plan is created, it is displayed on the record page.
