Linking Assignments to Milestones

You can link one or more milestones to an assignment. You can also unlink milestones from an assignment.

Linking Milestones

To use the PSA Link Assignment To Milestones Lightning component, you must add it to your Assignment Lightning record page. For information, see "Lightning App Builder" in the Salesforce Help.

Note:

The columns displayed for the list of linked records in the PSA Link Assignment To Milestones Lightning component and the lookups where you select records to link are not configurable. Record names are displayed in alphabetically ascending order.

To link one or more milestones to an assignment:

  1. Display the assignment record page you want to link milestones to.
  2. Navigate to the Milestones Linked to Assignment section. If you are using our default page layout, this section is on the Linked Records tab.
  3. Click Link Milestones on the Milestones Linked to Assignment section. A list of available project milestones not yet linked to the assignment are displayed in the Link Milestones window.
  4. In the Link Milestones window, select the checkboxes of the milestones that you want to link to the assignment.
  5. Click Save. A confirmation message confirms that the linking was successful.

Unlinking Milestones

To unlink one or more milestones from an assignment:

  1. Display the assignment record page you want to unlink milestones from.
  2. Navigate to the Milestones Linked to Assignment section. If you are using our default page layout, this section is on the Linked Records tab.
  3. On the Milestones Linked to Assignment section, select the milestones you want to unlink.
  4. Click Unlink Milestones. A confirmation message confirms that the unlinking was successful.
