Linking Milestones to Assignments

You can link one or more assignments to a milestone. You can also unlink assignments from a milestone.

Linking Assignments

To use the PSA Link Milestone To Assignments Lightning component, you must add it to your Milestone Lightning record page. For information, see "Lightning App Builder" in the Salesforce Help.

Note:

The columns displayed for the list of linked records in the PSA Link Milestone To Assignments Lightning component and the lookups where you select records to link are not configurable. Record names are displayed in alphabetically ascending order.

To link one or more assignments to a milestone:

  1. Display the milestone record page you want to link assignments to.
  2. Navigate to the Assignments Linked To Milestone section. If you are using our default page layout, this section is on the Linked Assignments tab.
  3. Click Link Assignments on the Assignments Linked To Milestone section. A list of available assignments not yet linked to the milestone are displayed in the Link Assignments window.
  4. In the Link Assignments window, select the checkboxes of the assignments that you want to link to the milestone.
  5. Click Save. A confirmation message confirms that the linking was successful.

Unlinking Assignments

To unlink one or more assignments from a milestone:

  1. Display the Milestone record page you want to unlink assignments from.
  2. Navigate to the Assignments Linked to Milestone section. If you are using our default page layout, this section is on the Linked Assignments tab.
  3. On the Assignments Linked to Milestone section, select the assignments you want to unlink.
  4. Click Unlink Assignments. A confirmation message confirms that the unlinking was successful.
