Linking Assignments to Project Phases

You can link one or more project phases to an assignment. You can also unlink project phases from an assignment.

Linking Project Phases

To use the PSA Link Assignment To Project Phases Lightning component, you must add it to your Assignment Lightning record page. For information, see "Lightning App Builder" in the Salesforce Help.

Note:

The columns displayed for the list of linked records in the PSA Link Assignment To Project Phases Lightning component and the lookups where you select records to link are not configurable. Record names are displayed in alphabetically ascending order.

To link one or more project phases to an assignment:

  1. Display the assignment record page you want to link project phases to.
  2. Navigate to the Project Phases Linked to Assignment section. If you are using our default page layout, this section is on the Linked Records tab.
  3. Click Link Project Phases on the Project Phases Linked to Assignment section. A list of available project phases not yet linked to the assignment are displayed in the Link Project Phases window.
  4. In the Link Project Phases window, select the checkboxes of the project phases that you want to link to the assignment.
  5. Click Save. A confirmation message confirms that the linking was successful.

Unlinking Project Phases

To unlink one or more project phases from an assignment:

  1. Display the assignment record page you want to unlink project phases from.
  2. Navigate to the Project Phases Linked to Assignment section. If you are using our default page layout, this section is on the Linked Records tab.
  3. On the Project Phases Linked To Assignment section, select the project phases you want to unlink.
  4. Click Unlink Project Phases. A confirmation message confirms that the unlinking was successful.
