New Features and Enhancements in Revenue Management Winter 2025
The following new features have been introduced in the Winter 2025 release of Revenue Management.
If you are upgrading from a previous version, see Upgrading to Revenue Management Winter 2025. This provides a summary of the items that have been added for each feature and details of any required upgrade steps.
Generating Revenue Contracts for Engagements
The following enhancements have been made to the process that generates revenue contracts for engagements.
Identify Completed Engagements to Improve Performance
The Generate Revenue Contracts for All Engagements process runs on all engagements regardless of whether or not they are still being used. Therefore as you create more engagements, the amount of work this process needs to do continually increases and takes longer to run. You can improve its performance by allowing completed engagements to be identified so that they are excluded from the process.
For information about how to do this, see Setting up Revenue Management for Engagements.
Revenue Contract Currency Is Derived from Engagement Currency
In previous versions of Revenue Management, the process that generates revenue contracts for engagements derived a revenue contract's currency from the first source record (linked to the engagement) that was retrieved from the database. A revenue contract's currency is now derived from the currency on the engagement.
If there is a mismatch between an engagement's currency and the source record's currency, an error log is created for the failing source record.
For more information, see Generating Revenue Contracts for Engagements.
Notice of Deprecated Features and Functionality
We are deprecating the following features and functionality.
Opportunity Product Mirror Object Has Been Removed
The Opportunity Product Mirror object has been removed from Winter 2025. This is because since Spring 2021 it has been possible to use Salesforce's Opportunity Product directly as a source object. If your org had customizations that used the Opportunity Product Mirror object you must modify them to remove this dependency. Contact Certinia if you require assistance with this.
Forecast Revenue Will Be Deprecated in a Future Release
The Forecast Revenue feature will be removed from Winter 2026. We recommend you migrate to recognition schedules and use the Revenue Scheduled By Period report (RM Report Templates folder) or build your own reports on recognition schedule data to gain insight into a company's future revenue position. Alternatively if Revenue Management is integrated with PSA, you can use PSA’s Revenue Forecasting feature.
